Song for Boy and Girl (A Poem)

He lives with the sun and moon in his eyes,

the stars wink in her dreams.

Boy and girl run through the grass,

scale knobby trees in bare feet.

Laugh with the birds, sing with the wind,

dance with fish of the sea.

Rest in the wild, sleep with lions,

friend of flower and beast.

Morning light, evening glow,

dawn and dusk release.

At the end of the day, the Creator declares:

It is good.

Amen.
