Have no fear of perfection. You’ll never reach it.

Who Am I?

Good question. I’m Heidi Elizabeth Sadler, a creativity hunter on a journey to overcome my fear of failure by failing over and over again. And for some crazy reason, I do this publicly.

Let’s Talk About You

I’m eager to help you create. I’m around myself all the time, and I tend to get bored of me. I am honored that you visited my little piece of the internet, and I can’t wait to learn from you too.

The Facts

I was born in Tacoma, WA, lived in Romania, then Virginia, and have finally settled in Portland, OR. As you will learn, I have more ideas than I can manage. This blog is a feeble attempt to consolidate some of these ideas into one contained space.

The Music

I have played the violin since I was ten years old. I began with classical training, but in time, I came to play by ear. I also play mediocre guitar and piano, mainly because I can’t sing very well with a violin lodged under my chin. I currently play with two Portland bands, Chasing Ebenezer and Castletown.

The Weird (I Mean Bohemian)

I get most of my clothes from thrift stores. I feel like I lived through the 70’s even though I wasn’t born until ‘81. I love watching old episodes of the Dick Van Dyke Show, Dynasty, & the original Beverly Hills 90210. I think Lucille Ball and I would have been good friends.

I love visiting new places, but I’m most comfortable lodged in my La-Z-Boy, wearing pajamas with my two fat cats snoozing nearby. I co-host a web series (The Chasing Ebenezer Show) with my best friend, my husband Benjamin. I love creating visual art (mainly with paint chips). My favorite movie is Singing in the Rain. I cry alot, but I laugh even more. I don’t create perfect art, but I create anyway. I hope you will too.
